Wholesale Billing

Both small and large wholesale termination providers around the world use PEC's solutions to terminate and bill wholesale call traffic. PEC has customers that handle up to 1000 simultaneous calls (60,000 to 60 million minutes per month).

PEC understands that wholesale businesses can deal with high volumes of traffic and often very low profit margins, and thus has developed a product that can support the necessary requirements of the industry. With PEC's billing solutions you can terminate and track VoIP traffic for hundreds of customers at a time.

Technically, there are two different methods that customers provide wholesale services. These solutions encompass both of these methods.

Solution 1: Wholesale Service using an VoIP to VoIP Relay

Most wholesale providers are simply resellers of other services. They accept traffic from their own customers into their network and then reroute the traffic to other service providers. Some providers offer termination to countries around the world, while many others offer termination to only specific destinations. Many of PEC's customers look for the highest quality and lowest cost routes around the world and combine them to offer quality A to Z services to their customers.

By adding the Prepaid Module to the PEC billing software, our clients can also provide prepaid wholesale solutions, whereby calls will be denied if a customer's balance has been depleted. This allows you to focus on your wholesale business and not collections.

Solution 2: Wholesale Service using IP to TDM Gateway

Customers that have a direct connection to the phone company or another wholesale provider via E1, T1, or Analog are required to implement this solution. With this solution, your inbound traffic can be either IP or TDM.
